Cinema 4D Tutorial – Robot Arm Final

I don’t think I have ever laughed in a tutorial, but this one has me laughing when I go to test the animation. I hope you have enjoyed the series, I hope that you have also learned a little. In this final part we add the dynamics to the robot arm and set-up a scene to test it. Post comments and let me see yours.

Cinema 4D Tutorial – Robot Arm part four a

Here we are the almost final part to the Robot arm tutorial. I hope you have learned a lot in this series. I will be doing a four b very soon, I forgot to ad the dynamics to the scene to allow the arm to interact with things. In part four we build the claw, using an IK chain, and a mograph cloner object. Post an example of your work in the comments. Any questions? ask in the comments.

In part four a we will build the claw for the robot arm, using an IK chain, a constraint tag, and a mograph cloner. In 4.b we will add the dynamics real quick.

Color

color plays a huge role in the elements of design. Color can guide the viewer of your work or, draw the eye to important words with red text. A piece that uses a color scheme instead of just using your favorite colors all just mashed into a project is much more appealing to the eye. Give things emphasis with contrasting color.

below are some sites with information you will find useful in the study of color.

I am in no way affiliated to any of these sites, these are just sites that will get you started in the right direction for learning more about color.

Color

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color

Color theory

Other color resources

http://www.colormatters.com/color-and-design/basic-color-theory – I really like the way this site uses graphics, and information to explain color. navigate the pages to dive into other areas of COLOR.

http://www.worqx.com/color/index.htm – A site that has some useful information about color.

http://www.ficml.org/jemimap/style/color/wheel.html – sites like this one let you choose a scheme, then you can take a small screen capture of the colors that may have the hexadecimal # for that color, bring this screen cap into your software you are using and sample colors from it.

Watch how here.

This is a video that is part of my Blog, it shows how to use a color swatch from a website and use it in a program like after effects. the full blog post can be seen on my Blog https://itvteacher.wordpress.com/

Color picker swatches and palettes.

http://r0k.us/graphics/SIHwheel.html#spot – a Java plug-in color tool

http://www.colourlovers.com/tools – colourlovers has some free color tools that are handy.

http://colorschemedesigner.com/ – a color scheme maker

http://kuler.adobe.com/ – one of my all time favorites. You can also download and use the adobe air Kuler app. I am pretty sure you must be online to use the air app though.
